MHCU for the HEALTHCARE Community
Every credit union has a special obligation to give back to the community it serves. As a healthcare credit union, Montana Health feels that obligation takes on a more significant meaning. The exceptional people that we serve are saving lives every day, either directly or through support roles — the least we can do is find a way to give back to the organizations they work at to help them in their good work.
When it comes to charitable giving and volunteer work, Montana Health will work with foundations associated with the employers of the people we serve. We have done fun things like play golf, but we have also counted coins, planted flowers, gave financial literacy courses and even helped screen a movie, all in the service of the health care community in Montana! And when we couldn’t volunteer, we have given donations when we could. It’s how we fulfill our mission to help those who help everyone else!
MHCU for the ENTIRE Community
Our partnership with Intrepid Credit Union has allowed us to expand our philanthropic efforts across the entire community. That may mean working in cooperation with the local credit union chapter on the good things they do (such as working the Rubber Duck Regatta or buying and wrapping gifts for less fortunate kids at holiday time) or by allowing our employees time off from work to volunteer for their chosen non-profit. Intrepid’s focus on community outreach really fits well with the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”.
